Welcome to the HxConvertSourceFile Userguide where we will show you how to navigate and use this tool. This article will cover the basic functions and steps to use the tool which can let you download multiple records, convert existing records, or both.
To begin, the HxConvertSourceFile software can be downloaded here:
Home screen:
Authentication and Record Filtering
1- Start by selecting the Server you wish to connect to. The default is api.hexoskin.com for Hexoskin data (select "astro.hexoskin.com" for Astroskin data).
2- Select the Change user button and login with your account username and password
Note: If logging in with your admin account, you will then be prompted to select a "user" from your available user accounts
3- Next, filter by Start and End date and select the Fetch records (or Fetch Range for activities).
4- A list of records (or activities) will appear in the list.
Note: Records are identified by their records IDs, User accounts are also identified by their account ID
Note 2: Ranges/ActivityTypes need to be tagged prior to using this tool (see this article)
Downloading Multiple Records
1- Complete the authentication and record filtration steps above.
2- Uncheck the box "Convert after downloading raw data" (see further for the conversion steps).
3- In the Data Directory, choose the folder where you want the records to go.
4- In your list of fetched records, select one or multiple records
Note: click on a selected record to deselect it.
5- Select Download or Download EDF and the records will start downloading. The progress is shown in the Execution and Logging section.
Note: in the Data Directory specified, a folder will be created labeled with the User_##
In this folder, there will be the record(s) labeled Record_####.
Converting Raw Data into .csv Format
On the Convert section of the software, you can choose the options for the conversion. By default, the "skip raw data with frequency > 1 Hz" is checked on. This means all the .wav files will be converted to .csv except for the raw ECG, breathing bands, and accelerometer. If the box is unchecked, these raw data files will also be converted to .csv (warning: conversion will take 1 min per hour of data).
To convert records that have already been downloaded by this tool or from the dashboard:
1- Choose your conversion options (checkboxes).
2- In the Data Directory, select Browse and choose the folder that has your records. You can also choose the User_## to select all the records in that user's directory (folder).
3- Select Convert, the progress will be shown in the Execution and logging section
Download and Convert Records
To download your record(s) and convert them at the same time, follow the steps indicated above:
1-Authenticate
2-Filter records by date
3-Choose your settings in the Convert tab
4-Choose your Data Directory
5-Make sure the is activated
6-Select Download
